Frazer Harrison, ACMA

Country artists are still anxiously awaiting the results of several upcoming awards shows, including the CMA's and the American Country Awards, but in France, many of the nominees are already winners. The French Association of Country Music hosted their awards show recently and several familiar names here at home earned the international honor.

Co-hosts of the upcoming CMA ceremony, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, won Best Male Vocalist and Best Female Vocalist, respectively. Brad was also named Best Musician, while Carrie won an additional trophy for Best Video for her No.1 hit, 'Cowboy Casanova.'

Other winners included Josh Turner, who took home the Entertainer of the Year honor, while seven-time ACA nominee Easton Corbin won for Best New Artist. Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins won Best Duo for their chart-topping hit, 'Hillbilly Bone.' Lady Antebellum's record-breaking hit, 'Need You Now,' took home Best Song of the Year and Luke Bryan earned Best Album for his sophomore effort, 'Doin' My Thing.'

Rounding out the awards, Mark Chesnutt won for Best Live Performance, and Dailey and Vincent earned the honor for Best Bluegrass Group.

See the full list of winners here (translation here).

Next up are the CMA Awards November 9 in Nashville, with the American Music Awards set for November 21 in Los Angeles. The American Country Awards follow a few weeks later, December 6 in Las Vegas.
