Kristen sued her former partners, contending they denied her one-third of the Sugarland partnership after she parted ways with band in 2005. Kristen was involved in writing all of the songs on the band's 2004 debut album, 'Twice the Speed of Life,' which has since been certified triple-platinum by the RIAA for sales of more than three million copies.
When the lawsuit was initiated, Kristen was seeking more than $1.5 million from her former band members. Jennifer and Kristian responded to the lawsuit by saying Kristen's desire to sue was the result of "quitter's remorse."
Jennifer and Kristian were set to head to U.S. District Court in Atlanta today (Monday, November 15) to come to an agreement with Kristen. Terms of the settlement they have reached have not been disclosed.
