The Band Perry's 'If I Die Young' has climbed to the top of both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck and Billboard country charts, marking their very first trip to No. 1. Brad Paisley's 'Anything Like Me' falls to No. 2 on both charts. Rascal Flatts' 'Why Wait' jumps to No. 3 on the Mediabase chart, as the Zac Brown Band's 'As She's Walking Away' with Alan Jackson drops to third place on the Billboard chart.

'If I Die Young' is actually the first song the East Tennessee trio wrote for their debut album. The tune's heartfelt lyrics are about making the most out of the time you have been given in this life. The band of siblings have been receiving a lot of fan reaction from the song, especially through their social networking sites.

"It's just amazing how many fan stories are rolling in and just what that song has meant to folks," Kimberly Perry tells The Boot. Her brother, Reid Perry, agrees, adding, "It's really meeting people right where they are and helping them. For some folks, it's a song of healing if they've had recent losses, and for others, it reminds them to live each day to the fullest."

The band will perform their new No. 1 hit, and several others, when they hit the stage in Fort Wayne, Ind., on December 4.
