Taylor Swift Adds NeedtoBreathe to Her Speak Now Tour

Word

NeedtoBreathe have scored one of the most coveted opening act slots on the musical planet. The Christian rockers have been tapped to open Taylor Swift's Speak Now World Tour 2011 on the North American leg of the trek.

"It means a lot to us that Taylor hand-picked us for her Speak Now tour," NeedtoBreathe guitarist Bo Rinehart says. "Everyone knows she has amazing fans, and we thrive on performing live, especially in front of new audiences."

NeedtoBreathe are perhaps best known for their hit, 'Something Beautiful,' which was featured on the 'When in Rome' soundtrack, and 'More Time,' which can be heard in the film 'P.S. I Love You.'

NeedtoBreathe will join the Speak Now tour May 27 in Omaha, Neb. and will be featured on all the shows in the U.S. and Canada. Taylor is slated to play 87 shows in 19 countries, across four continents on the tour, which kicks off February 9 in Singapore, and includes six stadium shows -- Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., Detroit's Ford Field, Pittsburgh's Heinz Field, Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field, Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium and the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

"I'm so excited to go back out on tour again in 2011!" Taylor says. "The Fearless Tour was so much fun and even more unforgettable than I ever imagined, and I can't wait to get back out and play my new music from 'Speak Now!' The fans have been so amazing, and I'm thrilled to play in new cities around the world and meet even more of my fans in 2011!"

Taylor and NeedtoBreathe are both on their third studio albums. Taylor's five-week-old 'Speak Now' CD is closing in on two million copies sold. NeedtoBreathe's latest, 'The Outsiders,' was released last summer, garnering a Top 20 debut on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. The band plans to record and release a new album in 2011.

I don't know about this. I have to do some research on Needtobreath before the Philly tickets are available before I commit to this concert. Love Taylor though.
