"It will be our Valentine's Day present and it's sort of a Valentine of a record. We are really excited about it," Chief Trucker Patterson Hood tells The Boot. "The shows will combine elements of [our last album] 'The Big To-Do' and we'll mix in these new songs. We really think the new songs will take it to the next level."
Patterson told The Boot earlier this year that 'Boots' would follow in the rockin' footsteps of 'The Big To-Do.' "We all said early on that our next record would come roaring out of the box and out of the speakers and we needed to make a reach-out-and-grab-you-by-the-scruff-of-the-neck kind of record." he said. "Even the name of it conjures up a show. That was the whole basis of the dividing line [between] the songs for 'The Big To-Do' and it's shows and these other songs. I feel just as strongly about [the songs that will be on 'Go Go Boots']. It's just the other side of what we do."
Check out a 'Go-Go Boots' episode to hear an acoustic version of the song 'Go-Go Boots' here . Also tune into Sirius XM's Outlaw Country station (Sirius 63, XM 12) and hear the band's live New Year's Eve performance beginning at 9:45 PM ET from Terminal 5 in New York.
