Once again, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has opened its doors to several country acts. The 2011 lineup is out, and Music City is headed to the Big Easy April 29 - May 1 and May 5 - 8.

Willie Nelson, Jamey Johnson, Kid Rock, Ricky Skaggs and Lucinda Williams are just a few of the artists who are scheduled to perform during the seven-day event. They join an eclectic mix of singers and bands, including Bon Jovi, Wyclef Jean, Michelle Shocked, Jason Mraz, Fantasia, Edie Brickell, Amos Lee, Kenny G, Wilco and Jimmy Buffett.

Country artists are no stranger to the New Orleans Jazz Fest. Willie has performed at the famous festival, as has Darius Rucker, who attended last year's event.

Willie and Jamey will be spending plenty of time together this summer, as they are also both on the Country Throwdown Tour, which will travel to various cities across the United States from May 27- July 4, including stops in Pennsylvania, Arkansas and Tennessee. The traveling ensemble of artists, which also includes Randy Houser, Lee Brice and Craig Campbell, is a trek Willie is happy to embark on.

"I'm really looking forward to the Throwdown Tour and working with Jamey, Randy and all the folks," the 77-year old told The Boot. "It will be fun."

Tickets to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival are on sale now, and may be purchased here.
