2011 ACM Awards Nominees

Sony Music Nashville

Miranda Lambert is once again the leader of the nominee pack. The Texas songbird has seven 2011 ACM Awards nominations, as revealed today (February 1) live on CBS' 'The Early Show.' Miranda, who led the 2010 CMA Awards with nine nods, has her first-ever nomination for ACM Entertainer of the Year, along with Single, Song, Female Vocalist, Vocal Event and two entries in the Video of the Year category. She is followed by Kenny Chesney and the Zac Brown Band with five ACM nods apiece. (Zac himself has four additional nominations, in categories where he was the songwriter and/or producer.) The Band Perry and Taylor Swift have four nominations, while Lady Antebellum, Lee Brice, Easton Corbin, Alan Jackson and Keith Urban all have three. The Band Perry, Lee and Easton are all first-time ACM nominees.

Nominated alongside Miranda for the night's biggest honor -- Entertainer of the Year -- are Taylor, Keith, Toby Keith, Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley. The winner in that category, along with the Top New Solo Vocalist and Top New Vocal Duo or Group categories, will be chosen by you -- the fans. For the third year, the Entertainer and new artist categories will all be determined by online voting.

Fan voting for Top New Solo Vocalist and Top New Vocal Duo or Group will close February 24 at 12:00 PM ET. The winner in each category will be announced in March and will move on to compete for Top New Artist. Fan voting for Top New Artist and Entertainer of the Year begins on March 11 and will close on April 3. Cast your votes at www.VoteACM.com.

Read the full list of 2011 ACM Awards nominations below. This year's contenders are arguably predictable, with one big exception: for the first time in nine years, Rascal Flatts are not nominated. The superstar country trio took home the ACM's Top Vocal Group category every year from 2002 - 2009 and were nominated last year for Top Vocal Group.

Fans are also buzzing about the lack of nominations for Tim McGraw, who had one of the highest-grossing tours in any genre last year. And reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Carrie Underwood surprisingly only has one nomination, for Top Female Vocalist.

Co-hosted by Reba and Blake Shelton, the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will broadcast live from Las Vegas on April 3 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS. Performers and presenters at the show will be announced soon.

No Rascal Flatts this year??? Can't say that I'm disappointed...I do like a few of their songs but I don't like them. They are so "into"themselves. The lead singer whatever his name is gets on my nerves!!He wants the whole show to be about him!!!

I like who got nominated for this year's ACM's.
I agree that Carrie Underwood should have been
nominated for Entertainer of the Year, but I
don't think that Reba should have been nominated
for Top Female Vocalist. Her nomination should have gone to Gretchen Wilson instead.
The reason: She's a better actress than singer
and I don't like the cross she wore in her video
to "Turn On The Radio".
As for the nominations, the Grammys and even CMA's
are bigger than this show. The ACM's are just
"Country's Biggest Party" and it really doesn't
matter who wins. It's just a fun event.Later.

Please just let Reba win FVOTY!!!!!!! I don't care who wins anything else, but Reba has been snubbed FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor Rascal Flatts.....that's like the Grammy's nominating Jewel, LeAnn Rimes & Gretchen Wilson over Reba. These award shows get worse every year. REBA 4 FVOTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please leave Carrie alone. She's a good person, beautiful and very talented, also she has a decent upbringing and goes to church. She's good to everyone. She also can SING !!!

Sunny Sweeney has got the best voice to come out of trashville in a long time. She is what country used to be. Cant wait to hear more from her.

Sunny Sweeney has not had enough time in the market place to be nominated yet. There are some parts of the nation where her music is just beginning to be released. If she can continue her momentum look for her to pick up a new artist nomination or two next year.

Talk about overexposure, Racal Flatts, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift. I will admit Keith Urban is a good musician but I'm sick of him. Taylor Swift cannot sing or carry a note so they should hook her up with Eddie Montgomery cause he can't carry a note either!

Since nominations usually come to those who have put out a lot of product then it is only natural that those you perceive as being over exposed would garner all the nominations.

Just because Tim McGraw can act in movies, does that mean he forgot how to sing? I don't think so. Reba deserved more than she is receiving. You GO GIRL.Maybe some people forgot what country is supposed to sound like. What happened to Ricky Van Shelton for instance.

first off, i never said i don't like any of those artists, & that they aren't country. but Carrie is just as much country as them! i am a fan of COUNTRY music. & i never ever said she should be nominated for EVERYTHING, just that she deserves more credit then she has been getting the past 6 months or so. if you don't thing temporary home, or even momma's song is not country, then i don't know what you think country is, especcialy now days.
