Save the Children
In September last year, when Carrie kicked off the fall leg of her wildly successful Play On tour, she announced she would be donating donating 36 cents from every ticket sold to Save the Children's U.S. programs.
It was a charitable idea inspired by the '36 cents' lyric in the track, 'Change,' from her album, 'Play On.' The song is built around the idea that every single penny adds up to make a difference to help 'change' the world.
During her 2010 Play On tour, Carrie played 108 shows for over 1 million fans throughout the U.S. and Canada.
