Ronnie's debut single, 'Bleed Red,' from his self-titled album is already in the Top 15 on the charts, and still climbing. He produced the CD and either wrote or co-wrote eight out of 12 tracks on the project.
Even though Ronnie didn't pen the album's first single, he knew right away it would be a success. "This song picked me," he tells The Boot. "I had the record, it was finished. I was good to go. I thought I was headed to the honky-tonks and beer joints to kick out a few lights, and it drops out of the sky at the last moment."
Ronnie will head to the ACM Awards next month, where he will appear for the first time as a solo artist. He is the headlining act for the ACM Weekend on Fremont Street Experience April 2, and will also perform his current single during the awards ceremony.
The 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas April 3 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.
