Set to make its debut at next week's Nashville Film Festival, '
Bloodworth' is the tale of E.F. Bloodworth, played by
Kris Kristofferson, who returns home 40 years after abandoning his wife (
Frances Conroy) and three sons: Warren (
Val Kilmer), Boyd (
Dwight Yoakam) and Brady (
W. Earl Brown). Bloodworth finds comfort from his demons by building a relationship with the grandson he never knew, Fleming (
Reece Daniel Thompson). However, when Fleming meets the perfect girl, Raven (
Hilary Duff), Bloodworth's presence could cause Fleming to follow in Granddad's misguided footsteps.
The Boot has the exclusive premiere of the trailer from the film, which includes music from T Bone Burnett ('
Crazy Heart,' '
Walk the Line') and the original song, 'You Don't Tell Me What to Do,' by Kris Kristofferson. Watch the movie preview below, and mark your calendars for May 20: the day 'Bloodworth' hits select theaters.
