Loretta Lynn Cancels Stagecoach Appearance Following Surgery

She was one of the most-anticipated guests for the upcoming Stagecoach Festival, but now Loretta Lynn has been forced to cancel her appearance at next weekend's two-day music event in Indio, Calif., due to her ongoing recovery following recent knee surgery.

"My [doctor] says I have a torn cartilage in my right knee," the iconic entertainer writes on her website. "And they need to fix it, so I had to cancel and reschedule some of my upcoming shows. I love all of you and thank you again for your prayers."

The 76-year-old previously rescheduled several shows due to the surgery, but had hoped to recover enough to perform at the Stagecoach festival. Still, there will be plenty of music to fill the days, including performances by Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Kenny Chesney, Josh Turner, Jack Ingram, Kenny Chesney and newly-added artist k.d. lang.

Loretta's next scheduled performance is May 4 in Coarsegold, Calif., but there is no word yet when she will officially resume her regular concert schedule. Check for tour updates here.

I have been a fan of Loretta Lynns since I was 5 years old,I sang her songs to my Aunts and Uncles all the time. Loretta is all country and I love it,I love her and I wish her well through her surgery.I have always wanted to meet her in person but that will never happen.but I did close enough to get pictures of her back in 87 at our fair.I think thats the closes I'll ever get to meeting her,we need that tradional country music back country music is not country music anymore.It;s nothing like we had with Conway Loretta ,George Jones Tammy Wynette and many more to name.Love you Loretta get well soon

So upset that she won't be there. She was one of the people I was so excited to see. And I'm super mad that k.d. lang has been added. She's a great artist but she's not country in my book, and I just don't really like her. Oh well. In the end I just hope that Loretta gets better soon and I have a chance to see her again!
