John Rich Questions Intentions of 'Apprentice' Ladies

NBC

John Rich has survived to compete another week on NBC's hit TV show, 'Celebrity Apprentice.' The singer-songwriter, who is competing to raise money for St. Jude Children's Hospital, says the battle is becoming more intense as the participants get closer to the May 22 finale. Still, with the number of contestants dwindling down, the Nashville resident says what makes him stand out from some of his competitors is that he's keeping his eye focused solely on the prize.

"You're standing there with somebody who's not on the show for their charity," he explains to Country Aircheck, referring to the ongoing feud between 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star NeNe Leakes and TV personality Star Jones. "It's all about [NeNe's] attitude and wanting to have all that drama. And that's been the separating factor. Why are you here? If you're not raising money, you must be here for yourself. Last night, I was able to visit a 5-year-old St. Jude patient and present a check for $649,000. If [Donald] Trump fired me next week, I've still done what I set out to do."

So just what is all this drama about? In an ongoing power struggle, Star and NeNe have clashed throughout the show, with producers even titling last week's episode 'The Wrath of NeNe.'

"Nobody will snap at Star. I will snap at Star," the 'Real Housewife' said of her nemesis, with the 'Apprentice' cameras rolling. "See, I'll f--- Star up. If you give me a job, let me do my job. That's how I roll."

For the most part, Star has kept her cool, but "don't mistake kindness for weakness," the attorney/TV host insists.

The men's team, which includes the country star plus Lil Jon and Meatloaf, recently acquired previously-fired LaToya Jackson for their team, in a surprising move by Trump. It was an intentional move to derail the guys, John speculates, because of their ability to excel week after week. "I honestly think Trump is a little worried the men are bulletproof," he admits. "It's impossible to beat us, so this might be his way of throwing us a curveball."

John has written a song, 'For the Kids,' which is currently available on iTunes, with all the proceeds benefiting St. Jude's. 'Celebrity Apprentice' airs Sunday nights at 9:00 PM ET on NBC.

Nene is a disgrace to all women of african decent. She is awful on the Housewives of Atlanta and now she has tainted the show apprentice, which doesn't take much. Get a life and stop trying to be a bully. I realize it is all about ratings, but must you destroy your integrity in the process? Remember, your young son is watching you.

Reality television is exactly NOT reality television.
All of these clowns are playing (acting!) to a camera.
These two chicks are playing the stereotype on purpose, how can anyone but a pinhead, not admit that?
Have a nice day.

Please, this is a reality show. I am sure the producers encourage all of the fighting between the women. They probably write the script for it, too. Otherwise, the show would not make for good television, and viewers would tune out...of the commercials, too. And that is ALL that matters.

As far as John RIch, although I did not see the particular episodes in question, my husband says that he was an ass to Gary Busey along with all of the other male contestants. That was probably scripted, too.

And as far as black women looking bad, ugh. I am white and I know white women as nasty as they make them. Just do some channel-surfing. All these women probably leave the set, go have a drink together and hug each other at the end of the night.

NeNe is a loser. Star Jone or no, nene can't take the pressure, nor can she run with the big dogs.
A true disgrace to the women of Atlanta.
