I am a 54 yr. old disabled lady. My husband of 20 yrs. left me (he said) because he couldn't handle my health issues, however, there was a woman waiting in the wings. He knew her 3 months when he broke the news to me. Needless to say, I was totally devastated.

As a result of our break up (trying to maintain 2 households & pay bills) we lost the home we lived in for 16 years to foreclosure. We had to file bankruptcy. I am also a singer--country, rock, blues, bluegrass. I've been singing and playing guitar since I was 14 yrs. old. I started playing in bands when I was 18. I performed until I became too sick which was in my mid-40's. I also worked a day job at the same company for 16 years. I lost that job for missing too much time due to illness. During that time, my Mother died followed by my younger sister. This past fall I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm trying my best to survive on 1300.00/month Social Security Disability payments -- my rent is $750.00. I have no savings to fall back on. Sometimes I have to choose between medicine and groceries.
So ...

I lost MY HEALTH, my ability to perform with my band, my Mother, my day job, my younger sister, my husband, my home, my credit and now I'm totally broke battling breast cancer without good health or dental insurance.
I have a 1995 Ford that's parked in my apt. bldg. garage because it need repairs and I don't have money to fix it.
-- I'M TOTALLY ALONE. I have no children. My 2 sisters live far away.
