Taylor Swift Is Not 'Ruled' by Love

Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of the most famous faces in music -- with famous boyfriends to match. The 21-year-old has been romantically linked to several high-profile celebrities, including John Mayer, Taylor Lautner, and most recently, Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal. But while the blond beauty likes singing songs about romance, she says it's one subject she might never figure out.

"There are no rules when it comes to love. I just try to let love surprise me because you never know who you're going to fall in love with," she tells InStyle magazine. "You never know who's going to come into your life -- and for me, when I picture the person I want to end up with, I don't think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I'm with them."

The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year has been through her own share of heartache. Admittedly teased as a child, she has also faced harsh criticism by the media for some of her live performances. But the resilient songbird says she doesn't let any of her trials keep her down for long.

"I'm most scared by the thought of prolonged, perpetual unhappiness, and of unfulfillment," she explains. "I have this really high priority on happiness and finding something to be happy about. It's not that I live in a delusional fantasy where I'm just smiling every day. I definitely feel pain, but there is also this need to be grateful for what I've been given."

She may be spending most of her time in buses and hotels, thanks to her Speak Now World tour, but the Pennsylvania native proudly became a home-owner in Nashville last year and in Los Angeles this year -- and enjoys entertaining behind a stove instead of a microphone when she has time. "First I fell in love with baking, then I fell in love with cooking, and then I got my own place -- and I was doing it for my friends all the time," reveals the aspiring chef.

Her pals will have to settle for take-out for the next few months. After spending the first part of 2011 in Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the singer-songwriter kicks off the United States leg of her tour on Friday, May 27, in Omaha, Neb. She will perform a dress rehearsal for her Speak Now World tour in front of 50,000 fans this Saturday, May 21, with the proceeds going to aid the victims of last month's tornadoes in the Southeast. AOL you have had the same story on Taylor Swift for 2-3 weeks. Change it to something else. She is not the be all, end all of entertainment. Come on AOL!!!

I just finished writing a comment about last nights awards show on ABC on which the display by Rhianna and Britney Spears was so inappropriate and distatefull. Now I write about a most admirable young lady, Taylor Swift! Now, that is real talent and good taste. It would be so nice if more performers like Taylor would be in the limelight rather that the likes of Rhianna and Brit;ney and others who seem to push more sex than real talent, althougth, if they toned down the sex, they might be more recognized for their talent which in reality, the do seem to have.

We are so blessed here in Reading, PA to have people likeTaylor Swift and Kate Gosselin to have roots to us here in Berks County. It reminds most of us here that along with Sara Palin, they all have one thing in common.

Except for a few star gazed teenagers and some uneducated political pundints, they are not very popular with those who have had to opportunity to really know them.

I have been to Wasilla. Palin ain't gonna win anymore contests there either.

For a young very high profile entertainer thie LOVELY YOUNGSTER has her head screwed on right. Her life is a fishbowl that she has learned to handle extremely well. I would like to extend my congratulations to the parents of this wonderful performer. If they had not done an outstanding job during her upbringing she would be another airhead like a lot of successful kids are. That being said she is a wonderful entertainer to watch and a young vibrant songstress with ann incredible amount of talent. TAYLOR KEEP UP THE VERY GOOD WORK THAT YOU ARE DOING SO VERY WELL. She's right on. People who go for looks are disappointed when the newness wears off. It is about the 'feelin' you get when you are around that special person. If you don't get the 'vibes', you need to back off.

I think Taylor is a cute girl and very talented I do love her music . but I do think she has really bad choice in men she can do better . Jake ginihal is a dog and I dont see how people think is cute yak ???? however his sister is cute

What's with all her eye make-up? It makes them look like they go around to the side of her head like a gecko's. Why women think this is attractive to men is beyond me.
