Scotty McCreery & Lauren Alaina Sign With Mercury Nashville

'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina will both have the prestigious Mercury Nashville stamp on their debut albums. The teen singing sensations have signed with the same label home as Shania Twain, Sugarland, Jamey Johnson, Easton Corbin, Billy Currington, Laura Bell Bundy, Julianne Hough, Holly Williams and Randy Montana.

According to the label, Scotty's single 'I Love You This Big,' which debuted at No. 46 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart and 32 on the Billboard Hot Country chart, has already reached 173,000 downloads. Lauren isn't far behind with her tune 'Like My Mother Does,' garnering 124,000 downloads.

"I'm really looking forward to getting my music out there," Scotty tells Billboard. "It's going to be a great album. I've gotta pick good songs -- that's what it's all about after the show is getting good songs. The fans got me to where I'm at now, so it's my job to get them the music they want to hear. Hopefully me and Lauren Alaina get to do a duet at some point. I'm not sure about the first album, but hopefully sometime soon."

The pair will also be in Nashville for CMA Music Fest. Currently, they're scheduled to participate in the 21st annual City of Hope Softball Challenge alongside Vince Gill, Dierks Bentley, David Nail and more. The game benefits the fight against cancer and takes place at Music City's Greer Stadium June 11 at 9:00 AM.

Yes Lauren and Scotty were my favorites on American Idol this year. First time American Idol has had two Country singers in the end to compete for the title. Yes they both are winners and they will definately have a great future in Country Music. This was the best year for American Idol. Country fans knew it was high time again for Country to win it. Carrie Underwood was the last and she has been on top of the charts ever since. Such a greattttt singer she is!! Lauren is alot like her and her future will be just as bright and big as Carrie's. Thanks America for voting with me and giving Lauren and Scotty the success that they both so deserve! Watch them, they will be our Country Stars for the future!

i love country music and im so happy the winners went the way it did . but i have to say this has been the hardest american idol year everyone who was competeing needs a big thank you everyone was awesome .im just glad i didnt have to be a judge .lov a fan

I'm so happy Scotty won American Idol. He is such a gentlemen. I believe he will have many country followers. I will definately be one of them. He and Lauren are both winners and hope to see them doing a duet.

I love both of these young people. They both definitely have a great future ahead of them. They definitely make wonderful American idols. The best to Scotty and Alaina!
