"The stars for me have lined up for me, where I'm comfortable stepping on stage," Ronnie tells The Boot. "It took going through Brooks & Dunn for me to be comfortable to sell what I put on this record: to do what I'm doing today, to have the confidence and experience as a writer, a performer, a singer and an artist to do what I feel I need to do, and do it justice."
Today (June 7) the ladies of 'The View' asked the singer if it is odd to be solo after 20 years. "I'm about to find out," Ronnie admitted. "I've kept myself busy working on this record and shooting videos, but now reality is setting in. I'm going to have to come out and sit on the stage by myself ... and perform. We'll see." Ronnie even joked with Whoopi Goldberg and Elisabeth Hasselbeck when they asked what prompted the duo's split. "After 20 years, we just looked across from one another on the bus one day and went, 'This bus is too small,'" he said with a laugh. "We've done it all."
And the humor didn't stop there. The 'Bleed Red' singer got one last jab in at Kix Brooks. "He's out doing movies or something -- the other guy, what's his name?" Ronnie asked with a smile.
