The Black Eyed Peas Concert 4 NYC will feature the country superstar along with Natasha Bedingfield, MC Hammer, LL Cool J, Carole King and Debbie Harry, in a special show in Central Park, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Robin Hood Foundation, which works to combat poverty in New York City.
"We are thrilled to have Taylor on board," says Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas (quote via GAC). "Not only will she will be an amazing addition to our lineup, she is an incredible inspiration to people of all ages and her music gives a voice to those who feel left behind."
Other celebrities slated to appear during the concert include Whoopi Goldberg, Jimmy Smits and Zach Braff. Taylor, who accepted her CMT Award for Video of the Year (for her single, 'Mine') from Milwaukee, Wis., where she was performing as part of her Speak Now World tour. The 21-year-old will follow her trip to the Big Apple with a stop in Detroit, Mich., followed by a performance at Nashville's CMA Music Fest, where she will close out the four-day festival.
