Wynonna has a long-standing relationship with the Armed Forces, including a holiday collaboration she did with the Band of U.S. Air Force Reserve Band in 2008. "It's always a pleasure working with Wynonna," Major Don Schofield, Band of the U.S. Air Force Reserve commander says. "We're thrilled to team up with her once again to show our thanks to our friends and neighbors in Middle Georgia and our audiences overseas. This concert is an opportunity to show our appreciation for their support and service."
The Independence Day concert, which is expected to exceed crowds of 20,000 people, begins at 8:00 PM ET and is free to the general public.

"I wish every every American had the spirit and feeling of freedom that these kids do," Wy says of her experience with the children battling disabilities (quote via her website). "Music is such a healer and it's such a bonding experience. All these kids come from different circumstances, but when they were together in song, it was as is if we were as one. I can communicate with them through music unlike I can just verbally -- we can look at each other and have a common language through music. I'll go anywhere for that!"
The ACM Lifting Lives Camp, which runs through July 1, is enjoying the participation of several other celebrities lending their time to the worthwhile cause, including Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Gary Allan and Little Big Town.
Following Wynonna's patriotic performance, the 47-year-old will head to Biloxi, Miss. for a concert, before she enjoys some time off the road to work on a new album. Keep track of her concert itinerary here.
