The duo, comprised of Joy Williams and John Paul White, met a little more than two years ago and exuded instant chemistry. "To sit down and almost immediately have this strange connection, that was nothing short of staggering," Joy told Nashville's Tennessean newspaper. "It was like we'd known each other for a very long time, though we'd only met 10 minutes before. I knew where he was going when he was singing, and he knew where I was going to go when I was singing. Harmonies naturally flowed out of that."
The concert will include a one-hour set by the Civil Wars, in addition to a performance by Rayland Baxter. There is a fee to stream the show, which is $5.99 until show day when it raises to $7.99. Purchase and watch the live stream here.
The Civil Wars also recently announced that they'll be rejoining Adele on her sold-out UK fall tour.
