Dierks Bentley Turns Down 'Celebrity Apprentice'

After Trace Adkins placed second on Donald Trump's NBC reality competition show, 'Celebrity Apprentice,' there was only one name that came to mind when asked to recommend a country star to succeed him: John Rich. And after John Rich won his season of the show, the one name he insisted to 'the Donald' could be as passionate a competitor as he was: Dierks Bentley. But it doesn't look like the 'Am I the Only One' singer will be the guy to carry on Nashville's 'Apprentice' torch.

"I was actually asked," Dierks reveals to Seattle's KMPS radio. "I considered it for a long time, and I was flattered to be asked. But at the end of the day, I love playing music -- it's what excites me creatively. Writing songs, making records and touring is everything to me. That's the dream, and the dream takes up a lot of time. With two kids and a wife, my plate's pretty full."

Dierks' plate is indeed full with the announcement this week of his Country & Cold Cans Tour, a 22-city trek that kicks off October 6 in Lacrosse, Wis. Opening acts include Jerrod Niemann and the Eli Young Band for the first leg of the tour.

Dierks' latest single, 'Am I the Only One,' is currently in the Top 3 on the country charts, with lyrics that illustrate a "country cutie with a rock 'n roll bootie." KPMS' morning team asked the Arizona native just what a "rock 'n roll bootie" looks like, leaving him at a bit of a loss for words. Listen to their entire interview with the singer/songwriter here.

Dierks' sixth studio album is expected to be released this fall.

No wonder he turned it down. It's just like most of the other " reality shows " ( yeah, right, reality ) . The only way to get ahead is to lie, cheat, go behind each other's backs, and stab your friend in the back, just after you made a deal with him or her. I know, I know, it's supposed to be a game. That's not the kind of games that were around when I was younger. Or have the ideas of morals, right and wrong, ethics, and just simple fun gone the way of the dinosaur?

Yeah---because Dierks Bentley has better things to do than get made a fool of in front of national TV! The guy is a singer, not a businessman. He makes a good living doing what he does. He has a family. He can't be bothered with Donald Trump's egomaniacal degradations every week. Anyone that wants to do that needs their head examined.

Dierks is a very smart dude for turning this down. He knows damn well this show is the kiss of death. Trace Adkins' career has been on a steady decline since before Celebrity Apprentice, but being on the show seemed to fast-track his decline. Same thing with John Rich.

As an esthetician I always have women asking what they can do about their wrinkles. I always tell them about the Pure Collagen Facial Serum ( HTTP://tinyurl.com/FaceliftSerum ) which is America's number one anti-aging serum. It erases wrinkles and lip lines, reduces under eye circles, and boosts collagen production. It's much better, safer, and less expensive than Botox. They always come back to tell me how great it is and how much younger they look. It’s a great product and I back it up 100%.

Are you advertising on here too??? What the hell does this have to do with the article? You turn more people away from your most likely worthless product by putting ads in comment sections.
