Faith Hill to Kick Off Sunday Night Football Once Again

For the fifth consecutive season, Faith Hill will be the first voice you hear (and pretty face you see) when you tune in to NBC's 'Sunday Night Football.' The country superstar has recorded 'Waiting All Day for Sunday Night' for the 2011-2012 season, along with an accompanying video. The song is set to the tune of Joan Jett's classic 'I Hate Myself for Loving You.'

"I wait all year for Sunday night," says Faith. "Somehow the season wouldn't feel the same without seeing everyone from NBC/Sunday Night Football over the summer (when we record and film the open). It makes it feel like the wait for the season is somehow shorter."

This season's Sunday NFL debut is September 11, live from Green Bay , Wisc., where the reigning Super Bowl champion Packers will host 2010's Super Bowl Champs, the New Orleans Saints.

"Faith Hill has become a staple of Sunday night football," says Fred Gaudelli, who produces the show. "And in year five, she's better than ever."

Besides cheering on her beloved Tennessee Titans, Faith is currently in the studio recording a new album -- her first since 2005's 'Fireflies.' She can also be heard on George Strait's upcoming album, 'Here for a Good Time,' on the duet, 'A Showman's Life.'

PLEASE give us someone else other than Faith over the Hill ! She is so yesterday. She cant sell records anymore. She has practically no fans left. And what a bad sport!! How can NBC sports pick a BAD SPORT to sing for them. Didnt they see her go totally nutso on the CMA Awards a few years back, when the much younger Carrie Underwood beat her for the award. Look on Youtube to see her snarling, snorting, stomping when she lost. Poor sport! And why is she still using the last name of her first husband, Dan Hill ?? Tacky. She is married to Tim McGraw and has 3 kids with him. Dan Hill was Hubby No. 1 for 7 years but is gone now. Why is she still Faith Hill and not Faith McGraw. Poor taste. Please hire someone else! Anyone else!!!!!

don't get me wrong, i like Faith Hill but i am really sick of her on Sunday Night Football. I though Pink did a much better job, was much more energetic and got the crowd more pumped up! Really why haven't they asked Joan Jett to do it since it's her song afterall.....I think she'd be great!
