"I have so many ideas and so many things that I want to try on our way to creating this music," Lee Ann tells GAC. "You realize after a few albums, every record matters, and I want to make sure each one really says something special and represents what this music can be in a way that stands out."
The Texas native kicked off the recording process with a visit to the Grand Ole Opry to perform at George Jones' 80th birthday bash last night (Sept. 13). She expressed her elation at sharing the special occasion with the country legend.
"What a great way to start work on a new record," Lee Ann says. "When you want to get your horizon line, any time you can start with someone as great as George -- or be part of this year's ACM Honors, singing for Tom T. Hall, it reminds you what it takes to make music that lasts."
The ACM Honors event will take place Sept. 19 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. The 'I Hope You Dance' singer will play selected dates throughout the end of the year in between studio time recording her upcoming project. Click here for tour dates and ticket information.
