Taylor Swift Earns Two Spots in Guinness Book of World Records

We already knew Taylor Swift had a record-breaking career, but now the songbird's epic achievements are being officially immortalized. The 21-year-old has scored two mentions in the Guinness Book of World Records 2012, ranking her among the most notable celebrities of her generation.

The 'Sparks Fly' singer holds the new record for Fastest Selling Digital Album by a Female Artist, for her latest CD, 'Speak Now,' as well as the Most Simultaneous U.S. Hot 100 Hits by a Female Artist, with 11 charting back-to-back singles.

The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year (and current CMA Award nominee for the same title) admits all her accolades have far exceeded her childhood dreams. "I would think about how lucky I would be if people cared about the words I wrote," Taylor tells The Boot. "I would think about how lucky I would be if one day I was walking through a mall and saw a little girl with my face on her T-shirt. I would think that if one day anyone lined up to ask me to sign something of theirs, that would be a good day!"

Taylor is continuing the United States leg of her Speak Now World tour, which includes two shows in her current hometown of Nashville, Tenn. later this week (Sept. 16 and 17). The tour will extend into 2012 with several newly-added dates in Australia and New Zealand. Keep track of the blond beauty's tour schedule here.

Taylor continues to rule in spite of all the crap thrown at her, writing more hit songs at an early age than anybody ever has, creating a worldwide following, and racking up firsts like nobody else. Must be something that keeps her on top besides the BS about 'autotune' or 'good promoters.' I suggest you go to one of her concerts, and leave amazed, or just listen to her albums from the first, and watch how she grows and articulates what so many young women and girls feel. Taylor is a joy.

I once knew a woman who broke two Guiness world records. She waterskied from Miami to Bimini. Just before she crossed the finish line she slipped on her skis but held on and crossed the line. Yep, she holds the world records for the women's long distance water skiing event and the hundred yard douche.

Sheepy Nicks is overrated. It wouldn't surprise me if Taylor Swift was weaker in live performance. Her voice sounds good on records, but 1. that can be (and apparently, almost always is) juiced pretty extensively in the studio, and 2. hers isn't exactly a booming, Broadway-belter type voice anyway. Breathy doesn't translate well to auditoria.

At least you know for a fact that she isn't lip-synching, which is more than I can say about other big artists during live performances.

Not to take anything away from Taylor's ability to write and sing in the studio but she IS terrible live. Her 2010 Grammy performance is a prime example, I was anger to say the least that she was trying to upstage a LEGEND like Stevie Nicks, who's career Taylor can only dream of matching. But congrats on the records regardless...

...What's the big deal about her, anyway?

Taylor is terrible when singing live, she's almost always off-key. Her songs are all about wangsting over someone who broke up with her. She's not even country, she's pop/country-pop.

I've seen her live, and she was great. And her intellect, creativity and resourcefulness will far outlast so many 'talented' people who are ony cyphers for others' songs.
