Rodney had a hand in writing several of his own No. 1 hits, including 'Watching You,' 'If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows You're There)' and 'These Are My People.'
"The way I started playing music was sitting around with friends and singing songs," Rodney recalls. "I love good 'ol fashioned guitar pulls. These writers are the best, and it's amazing to hear the stories behind the incredible songs they've written. I'm very excited and honored to be a part of this event in the Big Apple at Joe's."
Founded in 2007, the CMA Songwriter's Series gives New York a taste of Nashville with intimate performances of country music's biggest hits. Bob DiPiero, responsible for writing 15 No. 1 country hits, has hosted the event from the beginning, advocating the outreach of country music outside Music City's city limits.
