"It's an incredible opportunity," Scotty tells The Boot. "I'm a baseball nut. I have two loves: baseball and music. So to be able to sing and watch the game after ... It's the biggest day in baseball! Everybody dreams about going to that game, so to be able to sing at the game -- it's a moment I'll never forget."
Scotty admits he's bummed his beloved Boston Red Sox won't be playing in the game. "That was a terrible way to go out," he laments over last week's heartbreaking loss to the Baltimore Orioles. But that hasn't curbed the singer's enthusiasm for the Series. "I'm excited to see which two teams will be playing," he says.
Game One of the World Series will broadcast live Oct. 19 on FOX.
Scotty releases his debut album, 'Clear As Day,' tomorrow (Oct. 4). Check out his track-by-track commentary on the project here. And watch a behind-the-scenes look at the making of his very first music video, 'I Love You This Big,' below.
