This will be sibling trio the Band Perry's second visit to the CMA Awards. After watching the 2009 broadcast from a hotel room, Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry were not only invited but also nominated at the 2010 CMA Awards for Group of the Year ... with the nod coming before their debut album even came out! They also performed the song that put them on the country music map, 'If I Die Young,' on last year's show. This year, the tune is nominated for Single and Song of the Year -- two of five nominations for the Band Perry.
Lady Antebellum have taken CMA Vocal Group of the Year honors for the past two years in a row. They also won Single of Year in 2010 for their tremendous crossover smash, 'Need You Now.' This year, the trio comprised of Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley will try to hold onto their Vocal Group honors, going up against the Band Perry, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts and Zac Brown Band.
Miranda Lambert was the belle of the CMA ball in 2010, topping the night's winners with three trophies on what was also her 27th birthday. She'll defend her Female Vocalist of the Year bragging rights against labelmates Carrie Underwood and Sara Evans, along with Taylor Swift and Martina McBride.
