'God Gave Me You,' penned by Christian/pop star Dave Barnes, is Blake's tenth overall chart-topper. It has broken the record made by his last No. 1 song, 'Honey Bee,' to become his fastest rising single to date.
"It's no secret, Miranda and I have had our ups and downs over the years and this was definitely at a low point at our relationship," Blake tells The Boot of hearing the song for the very first time. "I was flipping through stations and landed on a contemporary Christian station, and that song came on and I almost had to pull the truck over. I felt like I was hearing that song at that moment for a reason."
A five-time CMA nominee this year, Blake has just three more concert dates left in 2011, in addition to a performance slot on the CMA Awards broadcast. He'll take a brief break for the holidays before life becomes crazy again, as he'll juggle taping Season 2 of 'The Voice' with his headlining tour. The Well Lit & Amplified Tour 2012 will kick off January 14 in Lincoln, Nebraska, hitting arenas in 27 cities before wrapping up in March. (See an initial list of cities and dates below, with more to be announced soon.) Opening acts include Justin Moore and Dia Frampton, who placed second on the inaugural season of 'The Voice.'
