Keith Urban and Eric Church Jam With 'Springsteen'

With their recent concert collaboration, it's safe to assume Keith Urban and Eric Church share a deep appreciation for rock legend Bruce Springsteen. The Aussie music icon invited his fellow CMA Awards nominee onstage during his Oct. 13 show in Milwaukee, Wis. to perform 'Springsteen,' a track from Eric's latest chart-topping album, 'Chief.' (Watch fan footage of their duet below, and watch Eric sing 'Springsteen' live in our studio here.)

Speaking about his ode to "the Boss," Eric tells The Boot, "I can remember being 15 or 16 years old and going to my first amphitheater concert with a group of friends. There was a certain girl ... We spread the blanket up on the lawn. I can remember our relationship didn't last that long -- maybe two weeks -- but it sparked there. 'Til this day, when I hear that artist I think about her, and I wonder if she thinks about me even though nothing really ever happened between us. It's just neat that music can connect you to a time and to a place. My favorite line in that song is "funny how a melody sounds like a memory."

Keith's Get Closer 2011 World tour wrapped on Oct. 15 in Minneapolis, Minn. He will reunite with Eric next month for the 45th Annual CMA Awards, with Keith vying for the Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year trophies, and Eric hoping to snag the New Artist of the Year award.

The CMAs will air live from Nashville, Nov. 9 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
