"I am a big 'South Park' fan," Brad tells The Boot. "I identify with people who have no fear in making fun of everything, so I've seen almost every episode. I think they're brilliant."
The singer discovered that the some of the people who work on 'South Park' were fans of his, and through a mutual friend was invited to visit the studio where the show is developed.
"I went there on Saturday and walked in and they rolled out the red carpet for me," says the singer, who tweeted a photo of his 'South Park' incarnation. "They had done a rendering of me with the boys, and I cut a couple voices of a couple kids. So I'm just one of the kids in the background ... but my name is in the credits. I can't believe I got to do that."
Brad says the show's producers run a tight ship, writing and producing one entire show in six days. He visited the studio on Saturday and the episode aired Wednesday night (Oct. 19). "I got to go in and sit down with them and tell some stories about some stupid things I've done and watch them write a little bit and see how the show comes together."
'South Park' is currently in its 15th season. Brad also participated in another television show -- one that is safe for children. In an episode of 'Sesame Street,' which aired earlier this month (Oct. 9), he and newly-created puppet Lily talked about hunger and homelessness.
"I'm very proud of being a part of that episode, which helped raise hunger awareness," says Brad. "It's great that they're talking to three-, four- and five-year-olds to make them aware that there is hunger in the world. Even parents were tweeting me and telling me that they didn't know some of the facts they made available on the show.
"I was very proud to be associated with 'Sesame Street,' Brad continues. "It's the second time I have gone up there to work with them, and it's something I can cross off my bucket list."
Look for Brad on TV screens again in November when he co-hosts the 45th Annual CMA Awards, airing Nov. 9 on ABC at 8:00 PM (ET).
