Group member Jon Jones tells The Boot how he and his fellow band members had to coax writer and fellow country artist Lee Brice to allow them to record the track for their own project. "I said, 'Lee, I know you're thinking about putting it on your record, and it's great, but it actually sounds more us than it does you. [laughs] It would be really great if you let us record it,'" Jon recalls. "He's a super nice guy, and he writes a ton of great songs of his own to choose from. He was nice enough to let us record this one, and I think all parties thus far are pretty happy!"
'Crazy Girl' is the first single from Eli Young Band's 'Life at Best' album, their first effort under the Republic Nashville label home. The song is the band's first Top 10 single, as well as their first platinum-selling song.
