The first round of CMA Awards presenters has been set, along with another CMA first-timer to score a coveted performance slot on the show.
The Country Music Association confirms exclusively with The Boot that Lauren Alaina, Dierks Bentley, Billy Currington, Jake Owen, Kellie Pickler, Reba and LeAnn Rimes will all present awards on the November 9 live broadcast. Laura Bell Bundy has been tapped to host the pre-telecast ceremony, which has historically included the Music Event, Music Video and Musician of the Year presentations, along with the CMA Broadcast awards.
We reported last month that Sugarland will perform on the show, and now we know that the song the four-time CMA award-winners be singing is actually not one from any of their albums. Instead, the superstar duo have invited former tourmate Matt Nathanson to join them on stage to sing a song they all wrote together, 'Run,' which is on the multi-platinum selling pop singer's latest album, 'Modern Love.'

Previously-announced CMA Awards performances include Lionel Richie, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Scotty McCreery, Zac Brown Band, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, the Band Perry, Chris Young, Thompson Square, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney with Grace Potter and Rascal Flatts with Natasha Bedingfield. It was also just announced this week that the broadcast will start with a Kenny Loggins/Blake Shelton duet of 'Footloose,' the song made famous by the iconic pop star and later covered by the reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year for the movie's remake.
