Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood Credit 'Army' Behind CMA Awards

Frederick Breedon, FilmMagic

It takes an army to produce a live awards ceremony, and nobody knows that better than four-time CMA hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. The 'Remind Me' duet partners offered fans an exclusive look at the making of the upcoming CMA Awards show, including raw footage of rehearsals from some of the night's most anticipated performances. (Watch the video below.)

"There's so much about it that's a little miracle every time they pull off one of these awards shows," says Brad, the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, who is once again nominated for the top prize.

Carrie also acknowledges their work is secondary to the meticulous planning others do to make sure the extravagant event goes off without a hitch. "There's a lot of work that goes on in the background before we even get scripts," says the Female Vocalist of the Year nominee. "It takes a million people to make a show like this happen.

Aside from their hosting duties, the talented twosome are nominated for their own awards as solo artists. Brad is tied with Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift for the most nominations this year (five apiece), with Brad's nods including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year for 'This Is Country Music.' Carrie is up for the Female Vocalist of the Year trophy, an award she has taken home three times.

Forget talent. It's all about popularity now. You don't have to be able to sing a lick. Just look pretty, and thank Jesus and all the fans every chance you get. American Idol? It's worse than American Idol and Dancing with the Stars put together. Just look at who stays and who goes. Not a bit of talent in the crowd. What a joke.

I love his music.
As far as Underwood goes -- yet another one hit wonder.
In my --OPINION-- American Idol is a hack show. Only junk comes from that show.

She has NO TALENT like most from that show.

Really? No talent? A "one-hit wonder"? Last time I checked, she had 10+ #1 singles and numerous awards from both the fans and her peers in the industry. Give credit where credit is due!
I used to love Idol, but have to agree with you it's gone downhill - IMO, now more of a popularity contest than a talent competition. However, some very talented performers have come out of the show in spite of that - Chris Daughtry, Carrie, Kellie Pickler, Kelly Clarkson and both of those amazingly talented young people this past season.
When there are shows I don't like or agree with on TV......I change the channel!

Carrie Underwood is amazingly talented- IMO she has one of the best voices in country music. Only person who really compares to her vocals is Martina. Yes, Idol is a hack place, but some talent definitely has come from that place.
