"Seriously?" she asked, clearly shocked by the honor. "Thank you so much. I did not expect to get this at all. I had a great year last year, and I'm very very humbled to be standing up here in front of these amazing females that are here and deserve it if not more than I do. Thank you, country music fans, and congrats to my hubby, too!"
Miranda's husband, Blake Shelton, took home the prize earlier this evening for Male Vocalist of the Year.
Miranda was also nominated for Musical Event of the Year, along with Loretta Lynn and Sheryl Crow, for their collaboration on the remake of Loretta Lynn's 1970 hit 'Coal Miner's Daughter.' That award went to Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson for their tune 'Don't You Wanna Stay.'
This is Miranda's second consecutive CMA win for Female Vocalist of the Year -- a great birthday present, as the country superstar turns 28 tomorrow!
