The Louisiana native isn't letting his recent accolade detract him from what matters most: the music. "I'm really proud of this record," Trace tells The Boot about the appropriately-titled 'Proud to Be Here,' his 10th studio album. "You get through the process and then you get to sit and listen to it all. Sometimes it is what you expected and sometimes it's not. Sometimes it exceeds what you thought it was going to be, and that's the situation with this one. I'm really proud of it. I think the material is some of the best I've ever gotten my hands on."
Fans hoping to catch the country heartthrob in action can tune into the upcoming American Country Awards, which will be hosted by Trace and Broadway star-turned-country singer Kristin Chenoweth. In addition to his hosting duties, Trace will perform 'Million Dollar View,' the follow up to his recent Top 10 single, 'Just Fishin'.'
