"We just can't be there without him," the 38-year-old tells Nashville's Tennessean. "It's not the same anymore. Everywhere I look, I see him. I miss him."
The Illinois native shared the ranch with her daughter Grace, plus various other family members, but says it's time to move on.
"It's a great place for a tight family," she adds. "That was our dream, to live and work together there. The dream will have to live on for someone else now."
The singer-songwriter released her first album, 'I Got Your Country Right Here' on her own label, Redneck Records, in 2009. She wrapped up the Xtreme Muzik tour with good friends Big & Rich in September, and plans to hit the road to perform several solo dates in 2012.
