The high school senior headed to Orlando, Fla. earlier this month to tape the segment, which will air on Dec. 25. He joined fellow 'Idol' alum Jennifer Hudson, plus Cee Lo Green, Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, and co-hosts Mario Lopez, Nick Cannon and Maria Menounos in filming the special.
This is not the former grocery store clerk's first time at the famed resort this year. He previously traveled to Disney World in May to participate in a celebratory parade following his 'Idol' victory.
It looks like 2012 could be just as big of a year for Scotty, as he'll hit the road with one of his heroes, Brad Paisley, on the 'Old Alabama' singer's Camobunga tour. "It's just going to be incredible," the teen singing sensation shares with Billboard magazine. "I've grown up listening to Brad, loving his music. I can probably sing every single one of the words to his songs. It's gonna be fun, and a learning experience for me. It's gonna be a great time."
The Camobunga tour, which will also include the Band Perry, kicks off on Jan. 12 in Grand Rapids, Mich. See tour dates here.
