Despite the exhibit's pending closure, the son of the iconic Hank Williams promises much of the family's memorabilia will remain archived at the museum. "I'm going to work with them and leave quite a few of these items here -- where they should be," Bocephus insists.
Opening on March 28, 2008, 'Family Tradition: The Williams Family Legacy' was scheduled to close Dec. 31, 2009, but was extended two more years due to overwhelming fan support. The exhibit, which offers unique insight into the country music family dynasty, will officially close its doors on Dec. 31, 2011.
The evening's special guests included Jamey Johnson, Jessi Colter and Jessi's son, Shooter Jennings, the son of the late Waylon Jennings. Also in attendance was Hank Jr.'s wife, Mary Jane, as well has his daughters Hillary and Holly Williams, and his son, Sam.
