"My success in music would not have been possible without freedom of expression," asserts the singer in a statement. "It's an honor for me to join in supporting the 220th anniversary of Bill of Rights Day."
The initiative is sponsored by the nonpartisan program, 1 For All, which promotes awareness of the five freedoms supported by the First Amendment. Brad Paisley joins Wynonna as the latest two celebrities to put their names behind the campaign, joining Blake Shelton, Joe Nichols, Ellen DeGeneres, John Mellencamp, Ke$ha and Jana Kramer in supporting the endeavor.
Students ages 14-22 are encourage to tweet their support for the First Amendment, using the hash tag #freetotweet, for the opportunity to win one of 22 $5,000 scholarships. More information on the program can be found here.
Wynonna will spend much of the next several weeks on the road, including shows in Michigan, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. Having recently wrapped the successful Judds reunion tour with her mother, Naomi, Wy is also expected to release her latest solo album in the new year.
