Darius Rucker Sings Sinatra for Charity

Darius Rucker is channeling Frank Sinatra for charity. The Charleston, S.C. native returns home Feb. 13 for 'An Evening With Darius Rucker, Singing the Songs of Frank Sinatra.' The event benefits the MUSC Children's Hospital Fund.

This isn't the first time that the 'I Got Nothin'' singer has leaned on Old Blue Eyes for a good cause. Darius did a similar shows in Charleston in 2004 and 2008, as well as in Florence, S.C., in 2006.

"I take this seriously. This is the real deal," Darius explained when promoting the 2008 performance (quote via The Post and Courier). "It's something I do for charities. I'm not trying to get a record deal. I love to do it if I can help a charity."

Reportedly, the former Hootie and the Blowfish singer even had the opportunity to sing 'The Lady Is a Tramp' with the Chairman of the Board at his 80th birthday celebration. A real treat for Darius, who has a diverse musical background.

"I'm blessed to be able to sing anything," Darius said. "There's not a genre that I can't sing. ... It's because of all the stuff I listened to growing up with AM radio. While listening, I sang everything from Buck Owens to Gladys Knight. I'm glad I did it now. I wouldn't be as successful."

Tickets for the benefit concert range in price from $50 to $250, and are available here.
