The songstress will portray an actress who accuses a reality show producer of sexual assault. Michael McKean ('Laverne & Shirley,' 'This Is Spinal Tap!') has been tapped to play the alleged offender.
In addition, it was recently announced that Miranda will join her husband, Blake Shelton, on the small screen as a mentor to his team on 'The Voice.'
Joining Miranda as mentors on the new season, which kicks off Feb. 5, are Kelly Clarkson, who will also assist 'Team Blake'; Jewel and Lionel Richie, who will offer guidance to members of Christina Aguilera's team; rocker Alanis Morissette and soul man Robin Thicke, who will work with Adam Levine's squad; and R&B stars Ne-Yo and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, who will dispense wisdom to Cee-Lo Green's cadre of showbiz hopefuls.
The date for Miranda's 'Law & Order: SVU' episode has yet to be announced. The show airs on Wednesdays at 10:00 PM ET on NBC.
