The singer-songwriter-entrepreneur graces the February issue of the magazine, the perfect month for her, considering all the songs she pens about romantic entanglements. But, perhaps fittingly, instead of her trademark curls, the singer has straightened her trademark tresses and is now sporting bangs. Has she also straightened out her thoughts on love? Maybe not but that certainly hasn't stopped her from continuing to investigate the finer points of romantic relationships.
Shot at New York's Bowery Hotel by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino, Taylor's photo session also featured her band members and gave her the chance to play dress up with a number of outfits.
"It just is so exciting to make a departure from what people see me looking like but still be recognizable," says of the pictorial for the issue. "It's a great balance of the two."
Of how she's grown in the past few years, Taylor notes, "Life is this constant series of epiphany after epiphany. 'Oh, I know this now. I didn't know that then. You're a different person today than you were yesterday."
