Scotty McCreery Gets Into 'Trouble' on 'Hart of Dixie'

Scotty McCreery won the hearts of 'American Idol' voters, now he's back on TV screens for a special appearance on The CW's 'Hart of Dixie.' Our friends at HuffPost TV revealed that Scotty will play himself and will be performing his hit, 'The Trouble With Girls,' on the episode set to air April 23. The performance will take place during a pivotal scene between Zoe (played by Rachel Bilson) and George (who's portrayed by Scott Porter).

'Hart of Dixie' tells the story of Zoe Hart, a New York doctor who moves to Bluebell, Alabama to work at a general practice. The series has often featured country music during its episodes, including songs by Sugarland, Darius Rucker and Taylor Swift, and even referenced Carrie Underwood in the dialogue of an episode last year. The JaneDear Girls performed on an episode last November, and the show also has a potential country star in its cast with 15-year-old Claudia Lee, who plays Magnolia Breeland. Claudia will release her debut album on Feb. 28.

Scotty, in the meantime, has his sights set on college this fall, although he's still uncertain which one he'll attend. He is sure of one thing, however, and that's the Virtual Reality world tour he's currently on with Brad Paisley and the Band Perry. Keep track of the tour schedule here.
