Taylor Swift Grammys 2012: 'Mean' Wins Best Country Solo Performance

Taylor Swift is already a two-time Grammy winner tonight, winning Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for 'Mean.'

"This is fantastic," the blond beauty gushed from the stage upon accepting her performance honors. "It's always gonna mean the world to me, the idea of getting to go to the Grammys. This one means a lot to me because it's for the song, 'Mean,' that I wrote. There's no feeling like writing a song about someone who hates you and is mean to you and makes your life miserable ... and then win the Grammy for it."

Taylor is also up for Best Country Album for her multi-platinum selling 'Speak Now' album.

Best Country Solo Performance Nominees:

'Dirt Road Anthem,' Jason Aldean
'I'm Gonna Love You Through It,' Martina McBride
'Honey Bee,' Blake Shelton
'Mean,' Taylor Swift
'Mama's Song,' Carrie Underwood

Saw her on Leno. She should stick to singing and song writing because she certainly can't speak English, at least not without saying, "Like," every second word.

Mean is a classic that will resonate for generations, and anyone with a sense of history and compassion should see that. She's not the youngest person ever honored by the Songwriters Hall of Fame for pop superficiality, but for her grasp of our language. Accept it...

I think her song is great for young people who are being bullied and they can definitely relate to Taylor with it. But, Martina's song I'm Gonna Love You Through It is one of the most beautiful songs ever written and sung. It should have won the grammy for the meaning and content. Blake's song was my other choice to win the grammy. I think Taylor's song is cute and great for kids but not really worth a grammy. Thats just my humble opinion though.
