"[The] corporal was looking around the perimeter and found her in a restroom," Williamson County Sheriff's Deputy Hugh Tharpe told Nashville's ABC affiliate station, WKRN. "She had at least one if not two bottles of wine with her."
According to WKRN, Kenny's estate is surrounded by a fence and private gate, with signs that say 'No Trespassing.' It's not clear how Mansfield managed to get on the property, but police say she had a limousine drive her from Nashville to the singer's house.
"She claimed to have a relationship with Mr. Chesney and they were dating, but that was not confirmed at all," said Officer Tharpe. "The property manager said that Mr. Chesney was out of town and she didn't have permission to be on the property."
A rep for Kenny confirmed with WKRN that the star does not know Mansfield and that he was not at home at the time. It's not known where the superstar entertainer was, as he is on a brief break from touring. His Brothers of the Sun trek with Tim McGraw begins June 2 in Tampa, Fla. Mansfield was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and public intoxication. (See her mugshot here.) She is scheduled to appear in court next Thursday, Feb. 23.
