"The San Antonio Rodeo has welcomed me for a lot of years and it's one of my favorite places to play," Alan says. "The rodeo and folks in Texas have always been good to me and I want to thank the fans for coming out to see us all these years."
The previous record holder was Keith Urban, who entertained 16,799 fans nearly two weeks before on Feb. 11.
Alan recently debuted the video for his latest single, 'So You Don't Have to Love Me Anymore.' (Watch it below.) The tune was written by Jay Knowles and Alan's nephew, Adam Wright. It will be featured on the country legend's first album for his own label, Alan's Country Records, in a joint venture with EMI.
Alan's performance schedule will take him to Houston next on March 18. Get a full list of tour dates here.
