"Blake is about my favorite person in this business," Trace told The Country Vibe. "I like the approach he takes toward this business and how he doesn't take very much of it seriously. That's somebody that you want to collaborate with whenever you get a chance to because it certainly lightens things up, and this business is supposed to be fun. For God's sake, we make music and it's supposed to just be fun, and anytime you do something with Blake, if it's not going to be anything else, it's going to be fun."
While Blake flexed his acting muscles last year in pop singer Cady Groves' 'This Little Girl' video (watch it here), there aren't any plans for him to share the silver screen with Trace or anyone else at this time. So, we'll just have to settle for watching Miranda Lambert's handsome husband every Monday on NBC's 'The Voice,' as the singer starts the 'battle' rounds of Season 2 tonight (March 5) and has also reportedly signed on for Season 3. On tonight's episode, the Oklahoma native enlists his better half to mentor his contestants. Team Blake member RaeLynn, who auditioned with 'Hell on Heels' by Miranda's trio the Pistol Annies, is elated to be working with the songstress. The two sing Tom Petty's 'Free Fallin'' in the clip below.
Trace is currently on the road. His next stop is in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday (March 8). Get a full list of shows here. In addition to his stint on the small screen, Blake is hitting the streets with his Well Lit & Amplified tour with Justin Moore and Dia Frampton. Their next show is Thursday in Spokane, Wash. See a list of cities and dates on the tour here.
