Just don't hold your breath. "We both agree that we're a couple of years away from seriously talking about that," Blake tells Us Weekly. "It's just that there's a lot of this stuff that's happening right now, and it only happens once. We want to be able to enjoy this and focus on our careers so when it is time, we'll be ready to sit around and watch that happen."
Those careers are certainly red hot. The reigning CMA Male and Female Vocalists of the Year, Blake and Miranda have both enjoyed multiple chart-topping songs over the past year, with both of their recent albums also debuting at No. 1. Miranda is juggling her solo gig with her all-girl group, Pistol Annies, while Blake has become a huge TV star with his stint as a celebrity coach on 'The Voice.' That's all on top of headlining tours for both.
Besides, Mr. and Mrs. Shelton -- both huge animal rescue advocates -- already have a ton of "kids," including horses, pot-bellied pigs, chickens and seven dogs. "If she's anything with an actual human being like she is with dogs, the kid's gonna be golden!" Blake says of Miranda's maternal instincts.
So while a baby may be a few years off, we wouldn't be surprised if the population on Blake and Miranda's Oklahoma farm continues to expand ... just not into feline territory. "I don't like cats," Blake tells the entertainment website Vulture.com, when asked about his fellow 'Voice' coach Cee Lo Green's fluffy white cat that oftentimes appears on the show. "I love Cee Lo, but I avoid him when he's holding that smelly cat."
'The Voice' airs Mondays at 8:00 PM ET on NBC. You can catch Miranda helping mentor Team Blake on next week's episode.
