"Ella's been great as a big sister, which is not necessarily surprising but we didn't know what to expect," Justin tells the Country Vibe. "We didn't know if she'd be jealous or ... we didn't really know. But she's doing great. She's really interested in Kennedy and she's getting to the age where she can start helping a little bit on some stuff -- going and getting the diaper for mom or whatever it is."
Justin, who is currently on the road with Blake Shelton's Well Lit & Amplified tour, even found a way to spend a little one-on-one time with his firstborn. "I just took Ella to her first movie, which was a lot of fun," he shares. "We [saw] 'Beauty and the Beast' in 3-D and we made it through about three-fourths of the movie, so I felt like that was pretty good. I was pretty proud of her. It was a lot of fun for just me and her to go on a date."
The singer-songwriter may even get the chance to take Kate, his wife of ten years, on a date, since she takes their two daughters on the road with him. "She was there before anyone else cared about my music or what I was doing, so that helps," Justin tells The Boot of his better half. "She's very proud of me. I can't say enough about the support she gives me."
In addition to crossing the country with Blake, Justin will also perform several solo shows over the next few months. Follow his complete tour schedule here.
