Men Arrested for Faking a Taylor Swift Show

A California investor is out almost $225,000 after two men falsely claimed they were promoting a Taylor Swift concert.

According to CBS News, between November 2009 and January 2010, Derrick "Suits" Robinson and Emmanuel "Kojo" Bentil convinced Kachik Mouradian, CEO of Omega Alpha Enterprises, to invest a total of $375,000 for a bogus concert in Phoenix, Ariz. Bentil, who is an attorney, allegedly wrote up false documents to convince Mouradian to fork over the cash. Both men are charged with grand larceny and forgery.

After he became suspicious of the arrangement, $150,000 of the cash was returned to Mouradian, with the rest of the money going to the defendants' personal use, according to prosecutors.

Bail for Bentil was set at $100,000, and $5,000 for Robinson. Both men are due back in court next month, where they face five to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Meanwhile, fans can hear the real Taylor Swift this weekend, performing 'Eyes Open' and 'Safe & Sound' with the Civil Wars on the soundtrack of 'The Hunger Games,' which opens in theaters today (March 23).

Catching her in a serious look makes her look a lot older, doesn't it? Still an angel of course...
