George Jones Hospitalized

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Country Music Hall of Fame member George Jones is hospitalized with an upper respiratory infection.

A statement from his publicist, Kirt Webster, says the 80-year-old Jones was admitted into a Nashville area hospital on Thursday and will stay overnight for observation. He is scheduled to be released Friday.

Jones is known for classic country hits, including "He Stopped Loving Her Today."

I hope he gets well. My prayers are with him and his family. I have to say that Leann Rimes did a spectacular job covering his song He Stopped Loving Her Today. She is a phenomenal singer. I wish she used her talent more instead of stealing other women's husbands. Leann, Martina, Faith, Reba, Jennifer Nettles, Miranda and Shania are the best country female vocalists in my humble opinion.
